The
school has grown in its influence and impact from being one of
the smallest to becoming the largest theological institutions
in the nation. The Mission emphasis has steadily increased since
the early nineties to the point that every facet expresses this
philosophy and purpose.
The
institution boasts of one of the most modern facilities among
other institutions both in Malawi and Africa, this property has
been a gift from the Rev. Daniel T. Sheaffer of Crossroads Cathedral,
Oklahoma, America. From its inception the school is governed by
a Board of Trustees instituted by the Assemblies of God in Malawi.
AGST received an official
endorsement by the Council for Theological Education in Springfield,
Missouri, USA. It also has a Cooperative Education Agreement with
Global University in Springfield, Missouri, USA. Global University
is accredited by the Training Council (DETC), Washington, D.C.,
a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
